Cecil Bishop

Former pastor of Trinity AME Zion Church in Greensboro. Bishop is a native of Pittsburgh. He graduated from Knoxville College, Howard University School of Religion and Wesley Theological Seminar. He is the former chairman of the Greensboro Human Relations Commission and was active for 15 years in the civil rights movement.

Also, he is the former chairman of the Greensboro Housing Authority and former president of North Carolina Council of Churches. Bishop became a bishop of the AME church in 1980.
